Two Games in a Row Makes a Streak!

Don’t look now but my Oakland Raiders are officially riding a winning streak!

When we stopped the Steelers with about 2 minutes left to play, I tempered my enthusiasm. If I know anything it’s that the Raiders will find a way to crap on my heart but luckily, Najeh Davenport’s ineptitude got in the way.

I never would have thought a team could amass 51 passing yards, 83 rushing yards, and one interception and still come away with a 7 point win but thanks to Ben Roethlisberger’s ever-deteriorating brain function and Bill Cowher’s complete refusal to insert Charlie Batch, this impossibility came to fruition.

Thanks for win #2, Roethlisberger!

My only wish is that we could replace the Bengals game on December 10 with the Steelers to capture our third win of the season. I have to figure by the way Roethlisberger is regressing, he’ll be completely braindead and good for 8 or 9 interceptions by then.

  • Raiders could end up with THREE wins this year. David Carr is fallin apart :)

  • The way Cowher was acting in the post-game, it didn’t even cross his mind to pull Roethlisberger. The guy has had 2 head traumas in 6 months and other than a blip on the radar last week, he’s been from mediocre to terrible. They had nothing to lose by throwing Batch in there. Everytime the guy goes in the game, he tears it up.

  • Batch could have more than handled the Raiders. I can understand giving Big Ben a chance out there but by the 2nd quarter – halftime at the latest – you’ve gotta pull him. Cowher and Roethlisberger were existing in the same fog on Sunday.

  • Yeah but every aspect of the Steelers look bad. They don’t even look like they’re into it this year.. they’re really going through the motions at almost every position. It’s not just Roethlisberger sucking (and he does) that’s killing them.

  • Pittsburgh can’t pull a magical run out of this one.
I know Roethlisberger passed all the concussion tests. But what about Post-concussion syndrome? That affects your memory, how quickly you can process info, etc without sticking you with the dizziness, lightheadedness, and other things.

  • I really don’t think Roethlisberger was in MENSA before he got hurt, so I can only imagine how slow he is now. The Steelers are riding him straight into the basement.
On a side note, the Raiders just might beat the Texans. David Carr looked like a Pro Bowler for the first four games or so and pulled a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde the last four. Amazing.

  • Not if you ask The Jaw. It was just a day of bad judgment not minimal brain activity.
